Fisher Performance are very proud to offer for sale this 1975 Laverda 3C 1000.

The Laverda 3C was introduced in 1969 at the Turin motorshow and then imported to the UK via Slater Brothers from 1972. The 3C was the basis of the later Jota that was developed by Slater brothers and produced an additional 10bhp at the expense of the much more composed ride of the original 3C model.

When the bike was launched it was the bike to own and eclipsed even the mighty Z1 reaching a staggering 130mph! The almighty offbeat engine note was and remains distinctive to this day.

3C's remain incredibly desirable and rare with very few left on British roads. This specific machine was imported from Frosinone in the Sacco Valley of Italy in 1999. Originally registered to Mr Olivieri in September 1975 where the machine had a further 3 Italian owners during the next 24 years. The original buff Italian Logbook is still present with the bike.

Upon importation in to the UK, the machine was fully restored and re painted from orange to the original Metallic Blue that appeared on the Milan motorcycle show bike in 1975. At that point the speedometer was zero'd and has covered approximately 7000 miles since. There are numerous MOT certificates showing the mileage progression and a huge file of bills and receipts for maintenance of the bike. Since 1999, the machine has had only two dedicated owners the current owner has cherished the bike for the last 16 years.

This bike was good enough to have appeared on the Laverda club stand at the Stafford National classic bike show on several occasions as well as being the winner at the Laverda club international meeting in Rhyader in 2002. It has also appeared on TV in the 2000 Airline Series.

Whilst undergoing restoration the following improvements were made on top of the obvious mechanical items. Stainless brake hoses, Wheels re-spoked with stainless, hubs polished, wheel rims polished, new seat fitted, rebuilt clock set, ignition replaced, exhaust valve seats replaced, modified clutch, all chrome re-finished, camchain replaced with OEM item, Cams re-shimmed, starter solenoid replaced with Bosch item, OEM Jota clip on bars fitted.

The bike comes with all bills, Italian buff logbook, spare keys, OEM parts catalogue.
