In 1972 KTM introduced the GS 175, a revolution that did not go unnoticed. You only had to look at that expansion that runs high and disappears between the engine and frame to know it. Mounting particularly doped two-stroke engines, the muffler had to be pot-bellied.

The engine, branded KTM, is actually a Rotax, robust, almost military in reliability and drivability.
The hubs are alloy and the tank, strictly blue, in composite material, as are the side panels and number holders, high resistance to shocks and vibrations
