1953 RILEY RME 1. 1/ 2 Litre Saloon in outstanding condition
Black over Mallard Green with original dark green leather trim & interior (although carpets and headlining replaced). Mileage of 77, 100 believed genuine and carries its original number plate of WVW 59 (non transferable) and with its original buff log book
Stored for many years and then extensive restoration over 5 year period to first class standard. Work done includes new roof/ external fabric.
Engine was fully rebuilt with 50psi oil pressure and runs and starts perfectly with no smoke or noises. Fitted very desirable GETRAG all synchro 5 speed gearbox which transforms the driving experience and makes it capable of keeping up with modern motoring. Completely rebuilt braking system will all new cylinders (incl master cylinder) and rear springs and suspension all refurbished, shock absorbers etc. Stainless Steel exhaust and new heavy duty battery; all good radial tyres ( incl spare), Dynamo & distributor reconditioned with new coil. Professionally rewired with complete new wiring loom from Riley RM club suppliers. Reconditioned dynamo and new coil etcFitted modern trafficators, twin Lucas spotlamps and badge bar.
