In 2006, Audi offered a new concept; a well-engineered, relatively practical, mid-engine, high performance sports coupé. Customers must have liked the idea, as the R8 is still in production 17-years later. With a choice of coupés and convertibles, V8 and V10 engines and manual and automatic gearboxes, the car, which was based on the platform of the Lamborghini Gallardo, has sold well across the globe.
This example was registered new on 29th July 2010 and has covered circa 46, 200 miles from new. Presented in metallic silver coachwork over a black leather interior the condition throughout is very good and looks superb with the top down. Offered with an extensive service history from new, the R8 is presented in a very high specification. Included is the desirable 6-speed manual with aluminium gear selector gate, Spyder electric folding Mohair hood and 19 inch, 10-spoke, Y-design alloy wheels and a Brooke racing exhaust.
