Chesil Speedster, 356 Replica finished in BMW Estoril Blue – a colour that makes the car stand out and looks absolutely stunning.

This Chesil Speedster was previously sold by ourselves a few years ago .
It has since had £4, 000 spent on an engine upgrade/ rebuild with new carburettors, twin exhausts and fuel pump

Originally built by a retired engineer, using a 1973 Beetle as a basis and finished to a high standard and specification, the car has been steadily improved obverf the last few years .

The chassis was shortened using a custom built jig to ensure accuracy and new floorpans then fitted.

Adjustable suspension and front disc brakes are fitted and power is provided by a 1600cc twin port engine fitted with Dellorto 86s.

The electrical system has been converted to 12 volts.

The interior has been fitted out for comfortable touring with wind up windows, a heated windscreen and seats are from an MGF.

The hood is black mohair.

On the road the car drives very well and the exhaust emits a healthy rasp.

Historic registered as 1973 VW, so is exempt from road tax & MOT.

There is a comprehensive file with the car with all the receipts from the build and also a rolling road test report.

We have sold many of these speedsters, and this is a very nice, well sorted one, which looks stunning in this particular colour.
