1967 Triumph TR4A IRS. Manual / Overdrive. Surrey Top with hard and soft tops. Signal Red with black upholstery and white piping. This beautiful TR4A is a genuine U. K right hand drive car that has been with its last keeper for 14 years. Supplied new by Freemans of Bromley in Kent to Mr R. Stuck, the original order form and invoices are still in the history file along with lots of early correspondence between Mr Stuck and Sir Donald Stokes, the then chairman of the Leyland Motor Corporation to express his displeasure at the service he received from Triumph at the time. Only available now due to the sad passing of the last owner, it is a car that has been lovingly cherished and used sparingly over the years for classic shows and days out. A very solid car car with no signs of any rust or corrosion, the paintwork has a lovely bright lustre, the upholstery recently re trimmed and the chrome work still catching the sunlight from any angle. The owner a retired engineer restored the car at his leisure and what a lovely job he has done, the engine was rebuilt less than 1, 000 miles ago and this is shown by the strong oil pressure and smooth engine which was also converted to unleaded during the rebuild. The TR comes complete with a Surrey Top with both hard and soft roof sections as well as a soft top frame. On the road the car performs well with the all important working overdrive, The history folder is huge and very comprehensive dating back to 1967 and right through to the present day which in itself is a lovely addition to the car. This is a TR4A that is ready for its next chapter and is just waiting to be enjoyed in new hands. Although now tax and mot exempt a fresh mot will be applied upon sale for your own peace of mind.
