1964 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud Continental
Chassis Number SFU619. With coachwork by James Young. This rare and beautiful car is finished in shell grey with an original black leather interior trim that is in delightful condition. The interior is complimented by maroon carpets, matched with sumptuous lambswool over-rugs along with smoked perspex chrome trimmed sun visors, electric windows and air conditioning. The coachwork is nice and straight with all four doors closing with a railway carriage clunk. The entire car can only be described as in excellent condition throughout and has received concours awards at the RREC national rally in past years. Its last owner and for many years was Tony James, renowned RR enthusiast, engineer and ex chairman of RREC. This car was also previously owned by the singer Roger Whittaker. Being a Continental it carries the lightweight aluminium body so is sporty, quick in acceleration and handles wonderfully, allowing this sleek car to glide along on the white rimmed tyres. James Young bodied just 20 of these lightweight car and we believe only 3 remain. The car comes with an extensive history and service file plus a large quantity of travelling spares, workshop manual and tools. The history file also contains old Mot certificates, tax discs and old style log book plus V5c. There are lots of photos of the car over the years including an RR book that features the car.
