Despite being over 20 years old, the CL600 V12 coupe has covered just 112, 186km and presents throughout in immaculate condition.
Rather than the often-conservative colours of silver or black, this CL600 is finished in a bright metallic blue, with nicely contrasting black leather interior. All of it is in very nice condition throughout, showing little if any wear, conveying the message that it’s been well looked after, with its comprehensive factory toolkit remaining untouched in the spare wheel well.
Clear film across the nose also protects the pristine front bodywork from stone chips, and of course, as befits the ultimate Mercedes model of the period, under the big Benz’s bonnet is the CL600’s party piece, the 5. 8 litre 270kW V12 engine.
Serviced by Mercedes Benz Melbourne for most of its life, it has been looked after by Swedish Prestige, where it recently underwent a full service which included the fitment of a new thermostat. All of this is recorded in the Benz’s original maintenance record, which is part of the full factory book pack that comes with the car.
This is a statement motor car and technological tour de force that today represents ridiculous value when measured against its new car cost. It’s also the perfect Mercedes club car that rarity alone ensures will be increasingly collectible.
