Description
The origin of the name and heritage of MOSS Motors dates back to Stirling Moss, who expressed the desire to have a competitor to Colin Chapman's Lotus 7 in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The Monaco model gets its name from the fact that Stirling Moss won the Monaco Grand Prix in 1956 driving a Maserati 250F, and the Moss Monaco is somehow an evocation of that victory.
The initial project was abandoned at the time due to financial constraints, but it was revived by enthusiasts in the 70s/ 80s. They used fiberglass vehicles mounted on Triumph or Ford mechanics.
Today, MOSS vehicles are entirely handcrafted in aviation-grade riveted aluminum in their workshops. The mechanical base comes from Triumph to meet the specifications and homologation.
The Moss I am presenting today, dating from 1990 and coming from a private collection, is in impeccable condition. It offers exceptional driving pleasure while remaining affordable.
