Description
Having had a 1971 Triumph T120 when I was much younger - 72, alas! -I tried to recapture the feeling of that era with this BSA. Not a chance! I put it up for sale relatively soon after its purchase, but at a much lower price, just to punish myself for this mistake. The work (see list) carried out by the two previous owners suggests a reliability that is not contradicted by the facts, since everything works fine; it's just that it didn't provoke any memories that might give me the illusion of being younger... Normal registration document but FFVE certificate supplied. Complete history since 1990. No direct purchase on the LeBonCoin site. Work and parts (many invoices available): - SRM "improved" oil pump + filter; - Boyer 12V electronic ignition + spark plug wires; - Exhaust pipes + Dunstall Replica type muffler; about 6, 000 km driven since then; - Cylinder re-boring (+0. 02 inches = 0. 5 mm) + pistons + rings ; - Valve guides: changed and rectified ; - Crankshaft: rectified + bearing + ring ; - Camshaft ; - Carburettors (930 left and right) + air ducts ; - Clutch cable ; - Rear shock absorbers + fork springs + spi seals ; - Headlight bracket + handlebars + grips + seat ; - Footrest rubbers ; - Fuel tank: painted to match side covers + taps ; 4500 km covered since.
Recently (less than 500 km): - coils + indicators; - front tyre K81 3. 60x19; - air filters; - Girling front brake pads (average efficiency). Other: - rear tyre (K81 4. 10x18) in very good condition plus another (K81) from 2022; - fuel tank: interior in immaculate condition; - old parts: pistons, carburettors and ducts, camshaft, air filters, gaskets, etc. - owner's manual + workshop manual (in English); - saddlebags (small) and soft top case that can be easily removed; this greatly improves the "look".
