Description
Just arrived at The Garage
1970 MGB Roadster
Launched in 1962 as the replacement for the MGA, the MGB featured a monocoque body shell with crisp up to the minute styling. Over an 18-year production period some 512, 243 examples were built, making the MGB the most successful sports car of all time - an accolade it retained for many years until Mazda MX-5 production overtook this figure.
This 1970 MGB remained in the hands of a previous owner for 28 years. Restored extensively in the mid 1990’s, whilst in that ownership it has been maintained by a respected MG specialist and bills are on file showing considerable sums to have been spent over the years.
During the last few weeks some additional cosmetic remedial work has been carried out and she has had a service and tune.
Since the restoration in the mid-90s the car would appear to have covered just 35, 000 miles with a reconditioned engine.
An honest and genuine example, fitted with the desirable options of wire wheels and overdrive and finished in dark British Racing green.
There is also a full tonneau cover and replacement leather seats.
Many previous MOT certificates are supplied, together with a current certificate valid until March 2026.
