Lot 280
6, 500 Miles from new
2007 Bimota 1078cc DB6 Delirio
Registration no. MH07 GFJ
Frame no. ZESDB06017R000041
Engine no. VAC7001823 (see text)
The Delirio, introduced in 2006, is a striking Italian sportsbike, combining advanced engineering with distinctive styling. It features a 1078cc V-twin engine derived from Ducati's 1000 DS motor, producing around 95 horsepower. Known for its lightweight construction, it uses a high-performance aluminium frame and carbon fibre components, enhancing its agility and handling. The bike is equipped with top-tier suspension components from Ohlins and Brembo brakes. The design, characterised by sleek lines and a minimalist aesthetic, reflects Bimota's commitment to creating visually stunning and functional motorcycles. Limited in production, the DB6 Delirio is revered by enthusiasts for its rare combination of Italian craftsmanship, powerful performance, and exceptional ride quality.
Purchased and UK registered in 2013, MH07 GFJ has been used by the present owner, although less so in recent years. The original kilometre speedometer became faulty, and was replaced by a later Bimota MPH speedometer which was corrected for the mileage covered, and now shows the total accurate mileage from new - 6, 474 miles at time of consignment. Meticulously maintained and serviced, the private vendor advises that it will have a cambelt service and a fresh MoT in time for the sale; ready to be used by a new owner. It should be noted that the V5C incorrectly records the engine number. This appears to be a clerical error by DVLA, recording the number on the V5C as OAZE506B which, as the Italian registration reveals, is the Homologation number. Documents comprise a current V5C, Owners handbook, a workshop manual, the aforementioned copy Italian registration, and sundry other papers.
All lots are sold 'as is/ where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding. Visit the Bonhams Motorcycles website for all pertinent auction information.
