We are pleased to present this 1977 Beetle 1303 Cabriolet, the cabriolet version of the legendary "Cox", of which over 330, 000 were produced, including around 100, 000 for the 1303. The ultimate evolution of the Beetle, the 1303 is easily recognisable by its curved windscreen rather than the flat windscreen of previous models. This 1977 model therefore incorporates the latest features of the model, such as seats with integrated headrests, a moulded dashboard and rack and pinion steering. This Beetle was purchased in Germany in 2000 and has remained in the hands of the same owner ever since.
This Beetle was bought in Germany in 2000 and has remained in the hands of the same owner ever since. The chassis and bodywork were restored in 2006 (invoice and photos available). The engine was replaced by a more powerful and reliable one (2 carburettors, electronic ignition...). But for those who wish, the original engine is available. We have a file of invoices, the various roadworthiness tests and an expert's report dated 2019. It has remained in its original colour: Brazil Brown. The soft top is in very good condition. When you drive it, the first ray of sunshine will encourage you to open the top. It's a simple car to drive, almost modern. The brakes are effective and the gears shift easily. The engine works perfectly. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the looks of passers-by are friendly.
