From a large private collection of motorcycles
Designed as a foldable 49cc moped
Appears to be in very original condition
Stored for many years
Unveiled by Motobecane in 1971, the Mobyx 'pocket bike' moped's design featured a tubular frame is fully shrouded by two plastic half-shells, the seat and handlebars being foldable for the purpose of storage. It received a small two-litre tank, but no suspension was fitted it. The small 2. 5 × 9-inch wheels are made of alloy, and a carry handle is on the crossbar, allowing it to be carried almost as easily as a suitcase.
On offer is a 1976 Mobyx, a delightfully quirky little 49cc machine that has been in a private collection for many years after it was purchased from the late owner's brother, who had it for many years too. The Mobylette is in very original condition for its age, with some signs of use. A fun-to-ride machine with a sleek little folding design, the moped makes it ideal for stowing in a car, motorhome or caravan. Being offered with a V5C Registration Document, it has not been used for several years, so it will need some checking over before putting it back on the road again.
