Description
A very rare and unique car, this 1907 chain-driven Aries is fitted with a prototype disc-valve engine. This engine was built around 1910 by Thomas Horsley, a gunsmith in York (UK). This experimental engine, patented for its disc-valve design, had a displacement of 4, 100 cm³. The basis of this experimental engine is an old aircraft engine, originally fitted to a Horsley Motor and raced at Saltburn Sands in 1913.
