Description
Lotus Elan is the name of two separate ranges of cars produced by Lotus. The first series of cars was produced between 1962 and 1975 as a rear-wheel drive vehicle. The second series was produced between 1989 and 1995 as a front-wheel drive vehicle.
This 1970 Lotus Elan S4 was first registered in Leeds on the 26th August 1970. It has been in West Sussex since 1978 where the previous owner started its restoration.
As you can see the car is a project however it is very much complete as far as we can see. There are a few other bits and pieces we have found since taking the pictures.
We are told the engine has been rebuilt, it does turn but you will need to make your own minds on the condition.
We do have some paperwork including the current V5.
