LOTUS ELAN S4 DHC FACTORY TYPE 45 LHD WAS ORIGINALLY UK RHD & REGISTERED PROJECT
This Elan was originally supplied as a UK RHD car. It was manufactured by Lotus in June 1970 and subsequently registered in 1971, ATD 663J. Currently it has a Jersey registration number of J3620. The current owner has had the car since 1985/ 6 and had the car converted to LHD and also had a full Spyder conversion on the car with Spyder chassis, Spyder solid drive shafts and Spyder front and rear suspension, double wishbone conversion, headrests etc. It was then at this time the owner had the car converted to LHD as he was considering taking the car to Canada.
Has been in storage for a number of years and requires recommissioning.
As far as I can see all components are present with the car and has been upgraded with five spoke 5 x 13 Revolution wheels.
Very original car apart from the Spyder conversion. Will make a great project. Body shell is in good condition and has the correct original factory engine, Chapman steering wheel, Lotus instruments, crash pad and interior. Engine turns by hand.
With assistance from Club Lotus a UK V5 will be able to be registered on its original number.
Very easy to convert to RHD or leave as LHD.
