Description
This is a super specification lightly modified ‘fast road’ GTV6 in a colour that, to my eye at least, suits the shape of these cars better than most. This particular example has been known to us for many years, having been sent to our sister business Alex Jupe Motorsport way back in 2007 for a comprehensive going over by her collector owner.
This work turned into a minor body restoration and full repaint, along with extensive mechanical work, the major points included:
1. Strip down car to remove all trim, lights, grilles, front & rear screens etc.
2. Cut out various areas of corrosion around the car, weld in repair panels or fabricate and weld in hand made repair sections as required.
3. Complete repaint in original colour scheme.
4. Clean and refit all removed parts.
5. Dinitrol rust protection to internal cavities and underside.
6. 3. 0 engine with rebuilt cylinder heads, cam belt, water pump and major service fitted.
Following the completion of this work she joined the then owners extensive collection where, over the subsequent 17 years or so she was serviced regularly, but completed approximately just 1000 miles. In 2022 she was sold to the current owner, another serial Alfa owner with 2 other classic Alfa’s in his fleet, who has enjoyed her for the past 3 years and 2k miles. To ready her for his ownership the previous owner carried out a cam belt & fluids service.
Upon purchase in 2022 the owner sent her straight down to our sister business, Alex Jupe Motorsport, for a general check over and the following work:
1. Supply & fit AJM fast road handling kit comprising lower, uprated progressive rate rear springs, 29mm front anti-roll bar and reset front ride height on torsion bars followed by full geometry set up.
2. New Ronal A1 replica wheels.
3. New 205/ 50/ 15 tyres.
4. Engine oil & filter change to correct spec oil.
After enjoying her over his ownership the owner, now into his late 70’s has decided it is time to downsize his small fleet to a more manageable level, to which end she returned to Alex Jupe Motorsport earlier this year to prepare for sale and a replacement clutch friction plate & release bearing were fitted along with an oil & filter service.
Supplied with a good history file, including photos of the restoration, and invoice going back to the late 80’s and comes with the A21 GTV registration number. Despite being exempt she will be sold with 12 months MOT.
