ALFA ROMEO GTV6 2. 5 1986 – FULL RESTORATION – COMPETITION PREPARATION – ROAD HOMOLOGATED I am offering for sale this rare Alfa Romeo GTV6 2. 5 from 1986, the final production year, which has undergone a comprehensive, high-quality restoration carried out in Spain between 2012 and 2020 by a mechanical engineer specialising in rallying. The car was restored from bare shell, completely stripped and media blasted, with full structural repairs and steel reinforcements in critical areas, particularly around suspension mounting points and in the engine bay. The initial objective was to build a car intended for historic competition. The project was ultimately never entered into racing. HISTORY Following its restoration, the car was acquired in early 2020 by **** Bloemendaal, a Dutch collector and recognised professional in historic competition vehicles, himself a rally driver with a Group A GTV6. He had purchased it specifically with the intention of using it as a base to return to competition after selling his previous Group A rally GTV6. He ultimately kept the car in his showroom for several years and covered only approximately 250 km. I acquired it from him in November 2025. French registration in January 2026, with STELLANTIS manufacturer homologation certificate and standard French registration document for 4 seats. The car is currently equipped with two bucket seats on rails but retains its administrative homologation for 4 seats. Road-homologated vehicle. BUSSO V6 2. 5 The engine was completely overhauled during restoration, including: Piston rings, big-end and crankshaft bearings, oil pump, water pump, thermostat, temperature sensor, gaskets and oil seals, complete timing system, camshaft adjustment, three engine mounts, aluminium radiator, two electric fans, fuel circuit, ignition and 70 A alternator. The engine was deliberately kept in original specification, prioritising reliability and the possibility of future development. TRANSMISSION / STEERING Gearbox checked and adjusted by Alfa Romeo specialist. Competition twin-plate clutch, release bearing, master and slave cylinders and isostatic linkage replaced. Transmission completely restored and balanced: shafts, flexdiscs and mounts. Steering overhauled with new gaiters, track rods and ball joints. CHASSIS – COMPETITION PREPARATION RSR Ron Simons Racing suspension front and rear, value approximately €4, 500, with: * Uniball ball joints; * polyurethane bushes; * castor adjustment; * adjustable geometry; * reinforced anti-roll bars; * optimised ride height. BRAKING * Dual master cylinder with front/ rear pressure distribution adjustment from the cabin. * Reinforced brake lines. * Restored original calipers. * Ventilated and drilled discs front and rear. * Ferodo Racing pads. * Hydraulic handbrake. BODYWORK / ROLL CAGE / SAFETY Bodywork completely stripped and restored, with 1. 5 to 2 mm steel reinforcements in critical areas and three coats of paint applied. Safety roll cage welded to the bodywork, constructed from 45 mm tubes Annex J FIA. OMP bucket seats, 6-point harnesses, aluminium pedal box, interior and exterior kill switches, FIA automatic fire extinguisher with interior/ exterior controls and FIA manual fire extinguisher. Reinforced steel fuel lines run inside the cabin. The documentation also includes quality certificates for the tubes used in the cage construction, notably cold-drawn seamless 45 x 2. 5 mm tubes in ST52 steel, with material certificate EN 10204:2004 / 3. 1 and metallurgical and mechanical testing. RECENT WORK 2025-2026 Since my acquisition, approximately €5, 000 has been spent on various reliability improvements and upgrades: * air flow meter completely reconditioned as new; * new fuel pressure regulator; * higher-output fuel pump; * new fuel filter; * six new injectors; * six new spark plugs; * new ignition harness; * BOSCH ignition module replaced; * numerous technical hoses replaced; * intake hoses and oil vapour recovery hoses replaced; * rocker cover gasket and spark plug well gaskets; * rear crankshaft oil seal; * new centre silencer; * universal rails on driver's bucket seat; * four original Campagnolo wheels with tyres suitable for MOT; * two new seat belts. * New Carello 454 lights * New number plate lights * New Alfa Romeo badges A MULTI-PURPOSE AUTOMOBILE This GTV6 now offers a particularly interesting configuration for an enthusiast seeking an old car that is both radical and versatile.
