Resprayed and new dash fitted by Spydercars in 2020 when I purchased it from Spydercars. I also had their more reliable headlamp raising modification fitted (using MX5 mechanism.)
The car has early Elan plus 2, classic looks both externally and inside with walnut dash complete with wood rimmed motolita and period interior. (original black Lotus steering wheel comes with the car). Underneath it is fully upgraded for everyday use.
Spydercar’s spaceframe adds about 40 per cent stiffness – plus better servicing accessibility, safety and repairability – without increasing weight. Spydercars adds performance, reliability and economy with its Zetec conversions.
Described as a "Restomod" the Zetec conversion was featured in autocar article "Modernised classics: finding the best retro sports car for the 21st century"

Handles beautifully, a credit to Spydercars!I bought this to use as much as I can, but am not giving it the use I intended.
It’s stunning in dark metallic blue with original minilite branded wheels (not aftermarket)
The interior is stunning, all period but with Spyder front seats with headrests that support well and look correct in matching blank perforated upholstery.
