Today, we present to you an American Muscle Car, a 1971 Mercury Cougar Cabriolet equipped with a 5. 75L V8 351 CLEVELAND producing 240hp with a twin-carburettor setup, offering robustness and reliability. The Mercury Cougar is none other than the high-end cousin of the Ford Mustang!
It’s a legendary model, recognised for its longevity and comfort.
The interior is well-kept, the leather upholstery is in very good original condition.
The whole car has been maintained with care: the mechanics are sound and the bodywork is very handsome.
As for the underbody, the long members and the chassis are to be totally restored!

The Mercury Cougar was offered by Mercury, Ford’s subsidiary, from 1967 to 1997, then from 1999 to 2002.
The Mercury Cougar was first presented in 1967 as a high-end version of the Ford Mustang. The first generation of the Cougar was designed to be a luxury European-style coupé on the elongated Mustang platform.
The Cougar appeals to those who value refinement and performance, with elegant lines and more meticulous features than the Mustang.
With its 351 Cleveland, the Mercury Cougar represents the perfect marriage between the sophisticated pony car heritage of the early days and a high-performance mechanical that has become rare. It is an iconic US collector, embodying power, elegance and exclusivity.
