Background:The DB7 Vantage was a landmark model for Aston Martin, introducing the marque’s now-iconic 5. 9-litre V12 engine to the range. Unveiled at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show, it offered a substantial increase in both performance and refinement over the earlier straight-six DB7. Producing 420bhp and 400lb ft of torque, the Vantage was capable of over 180mph and transformed the DB7 into a true grand tourer.
With elegant Ian Callum styling, hand-built quality and a characterful V12 under the bonnet, the DB7 Vantage quickly became a modern classic. Offered in both coupé and convertible form, and with a choice of automatic or manual gearboxes, it remains a highly desirable model today for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
The Car:Supplied new by Stratstone of Wilmslow and first registered on 27 August 2003, this Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Coupé is presented in exceptional condition and has covered just 26, 950 miles from new. The mileage is genuine and supported by a consistent MOT record, with the car never having failed an MOT test.
It has been under the care of a private enthusiast and professional for the past 12 years, during which time it has been fastidiously maintained. It retains its original book pack and the service book remains properly stamped, with servicing carried out by a number of specialists including, most recently, an Aston Martin workshop.
