Description
Introduced in 2007, the Aston Martin DBS marked a decisive shift in the marque’s modern GT lineage, replacing the Vanquish as the flagship model and ushering in a more focused interpretation of Aston Martin’s grand touring formula. Although commonly referred to as a 6. 0-litre, the DBS is powered by Aston Martin’s 5. 9-litre V12, a unit renowned for its character and durability. Producing 510 bhp, it combined performance with long distance refinement and quickly became one of the defining cars of the Gaydon era.
Crucially, the DBS was more than a styling exercise. Extensive use of carbon fibre, paired with carbon ceramic brakes as standard, delivered weight saving and a clear uplift in intent over the DB9 on which it was based. Offered with a six-speed manual gearbox, the DBS has since become recognised as one of the last truly analogue V12 GT cars, naturally aspirated, manual, and refreshingly free from modern drivetrain complexity.
Delivered new via Broughtons Aston Martin in October 2008, this DBS was specified in Pendle Black, a special order out of range colour not seen on another DBS. The exterior is complemented by an Obsidian Black interior in semi aniline leather with Alcantara seat inserts and silver contrast stitching, creating a subtle yet highly considered combination.
Specified with the all important six-speed manual transmission, this example also benefits from a carefully considered factory specification. Interior trim is finished in Obsidian Black semi aniline leather with silver contrast stitching to the upper and outer seat sections, Alcantara seat inserts, and matching silver seat outer stitching. The upper and lower cabin trim is finished in Obsidian Black, complemented by a Phantom Grey carpet, Obsidian Black headlining, and an Obsidian Black steering wheel. Further details include Warm Charcoal seatbelts, optional 20-inch alloy wheels, Piano Black fascia trim, and an auto dimming interior rear view mirror.
Beyond factory specification, the car has been carefully and sympathetically enhanced. In 2019, it received full paint protection film coverage, professionally installed, preserving the Pendle Black finish to an outstanding standard. In 2022, Apple CarPlay was installed at a cost of approximately £2, 500, adding modern usability without detracting from the original cabin. The car also features remote exhaust valve control operating the original exhaust system, a particularly worthwhile enhancement for the DBS model.
The service history is exceptional, with consistent maintenance carried out by Aston Martin main agents and respected marque specialists from new. The car was covered by Aston Martin warranty continuously from first delivery until 2019. A new clutch was fitted in 2024, and most recently, the car was serviced by Nicholas Mee in January 2026 at 32, 007 miles in preparation for sale.
Accompanied by an excellent array of accessories including the manual and service book, Aston Martin umbrella, Aston Martin battery conditioner, Aston Martin car cover, three remote key fobs, the emergency key, and a comprehensive folio of documentation, the car is ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian and is available for viewing just outside London.
