Description
A beautiful and original 1988 Rover Sterling 827 automatic, 92000 miles. It is almost unmarked and runs like a dream. There are no faults, no welding done or needed, no rust in the roof and the interior is like a 1 year old car. It is being sold as I am clearing my large Rover collection due to health concerns.
It is MoT'd until 27th February 2013 and has just had an oil/ oil filter service. There is no road tax on the car although I could arrange to get this sorted for the new owner.
I have no service history or details of when the cambelt was last changed.
The tyres (2 Dunlop, 2 Goodyear), radiator, expansion tank, various hoses and thermostat were all changed in the last 12 - 18 months as part of routine servicing/ maintenance.
There are a couple of isolated areas which require some very minor paintwork - on one rear wheel arch low down by the sill and one bumper corner. These areas are not rotten, just scabbed and the paint has flaked off slightly. They are vaselined to protect them until they can be attended to. I have left these as they are as the new owner can then see what he/ she is buying. This car will not be tarted up to sell.
I would like £850 including the new MoT and minor service, please. I think this is a low price for a very rare car. I originally advertised it at £1600 and have 'sold' it twice. No more messers please - I spent 3 hours with the last 'buyer' who never came back to collect the car or his £120 deposit! I am very easy to get along with, not in the best of health, far from young and will help the new buyer in any way that I can.
Thanks a lot. Ring at any reasonable hour, please.
