1962 PA Velox imported from Australia in 2005 - I bought it from the importer and have no history before this date. Mileometer shows 24000 miles so 124000 seemes likely. The 2. 6 litre six-cylinder engine runs smoothly with no smoke and the car drives nicely on a set of nearly-new Pirelli radials.
Professional respray last year gave the grey Velox a maroon stripe. The original chrome is excellent apart from a scratch on the front bumper and some pitting on the hub caps.
MOT to May 2009 and just serviced.
Interior is original apart from new grey wool pattern carpets from Coverdale and front inertia-reel seatbelts. The headlining is excellent and the maroon 'vynide' seats are in good condition with just a little loose stitching on the pleating and a couple of small splits. Door cards are reasonable.
Less good points: the dash covering is a little loose at one end; interior paintwork is rather shabby; radio does not work and neither does the heater; some filler is visible on the inside of one rear door.
