It had a body off rebuild in 1993/ 1994 and has covered very little mileage since. The car comes with MOT records dating back to 1990 verifying mileage.

In late 1993 and early 1994 the Triumph was rebuilt to a high standard. The body was totally stripped down and removed from the chassis. The body was professionally restored and various new panels used. The car was re-built with new chrome work and professionally re-painted. There are photographs showing some of the stages of restoration and all invoices relating to the work that was carried out by a Triumph specialist in Kent. Other improvements included removing the cylinder head, inspecting the engine, fitting a new head gasket and setting up the engine, replacing the inlet/ exhaust gasket, rebuilding the propshaft, replacement brake calipers and wheel cylinders, new bleed nipples, new locks, new glass and further cosmetic improvements such as new carpets and re-covered dash top. Since the restoration this Triumph has been well maintained and further work includes replacement water pump, replacement fuel pump, rebuilt carburettors and general servicing.
Having had over six years of regular use and almost twenty years since rebuild, the Triumph has recently had a further programme of substantial work. It has been totally stripped down to bare metal and re-painted to an excellent standard. The wheels have also been rubbed down, re-painted in cream and photographs of the recent work shows the body down to bare metal and in excellent condition. The interior has been treated to new seat covers, new carpets, door cards and rear cockpit panel. A brand new hood has also been fitted to the car as has a new rear silencer.
The tyres are Yokohamas all round with almost full tread.
The entire ignition system - coil, plugs, leads and distributor were replaced with new items very recently.
The Triumph drives well with a strong engine holding good oil pressure. The gearbox is smooth with good synchros and the car is great fun on the road.
The following minor issues are evident:
- Fuel gauge operates intermittently
- Temperature gauge reads high - engine doesn't overheat
- Rev Counter reads high - engine runs fine
