Here for sale is my Albion Clansman Commercial 1950 FT35x
Reg no VMX 646
one of five ordred from Albion Motors of Scotstoun,
by Smiths potato crisps: Great Western Road Brentwood on the 31st May 1950.
This lorry was restored in approx 2010. The restoration is a true honest reflection of how the lorry would have been from new. In my opinion the restoration is lovely but I wouldnt say concourse, But never the less its still a nice little head turner. The paint work is very nice.
It is still believed to still be fitted with the original engine.
With the history is a letter from the Albion archive stating all the above details.
The lorry is a 5 tonne so can be driven on a car licence.
it is a 4 cylinder, fitted with a 4. 9 diesel engine, with its original 5 speed gearbox.
It has new front tyres, Recent water pump, 2x new 12 vault battries, new re conditioned injectors plus an oil service.
Starts on the button and has good oil pressure.
The lorry has Professionally made aluminum loading ramps, perfect for loading tractors etc.
What more can I say? its alovely little piece of history and looks the part in any commercial line up.
I am so reluctant to sell her. I purchased her with every intention to keep her, however I brought her home with not considering space. I just can not accommodate.
Measurements; Length 21 ft, Height 9 ft, Width 6 ft, bed width 15ft 8inch long, 7ft wide.
You have to bear in mind that a 1950s commercial is no smooth ride, but I am more than confident that she can do the miles, its weather your brave enough and have a strong back. Runs smoothe on a nice Tarmac road but a lot can be said for the more un even terrain.
Would consider a PX classic car or smaller commercial
