Perfect for anybody thinking of entering motorsport, this car is ready to go. Factory designed to be fitted with bike engines and the Competition version was intended to be a track day car although this example is fully road legal as well. Extremely well sorted with spec as follows: Kawasaki ZX12R, 1200 cc 4 cylinder 16 valve. Head has been ported and fitted with heavier valve springs. Rev limit has been raised by 500 rpm to 12, 000 rpm. It has had a remap (on Kawasaki ECU). Custom exhaust system designed for this application. Dry sump. Fabricated fuel tank with separate swirl pot. Two water pumps (though it can run with one). Uprated clutch. 6 speed sequential gearbox. LSD. Escort rear axle (new when fitted). Geared to 125 mph on the rev limiter in 6th (approx 10 mph per 1, 000 rpm). Digital gear indicator. Push button start. Uprated radiator & electric fan.
Suspension is inboard and fully adjustable with rear anti roll bar. Attitudinal chassis bracing, engine is hard-mounted. Brakes are Willwood 4 piston calipers with Ford escort discs. Fast-road pads are currently fitted. 15" lightweight rims with Toyo Proxes R888 tyres. 4 point rear rollover bar with additional brace bar to the passenger footwell. 3 point drivers-side external impact bar. Westfield seats, 5 point harness for driver, (4 point for passenger) Low oil pressure warning light on separate system to the oil pressure gauge. Fully plumbed in fire extinguisher (sprays front to engine and rear to fuel tank). In car & external activation pulls (protected by safety pin system). External battery cut-off switch.
Spares included are: 2 softer rear anti roll bars, 6 alternative weight springs, rose joints for suspension, throttle blip, gear lever attachment. Timing beam cutter.
This is an ex-race car and has been successful on the track as well as hill climbs. It has not been involved in any accidents apart from hitting a hay bale on driver's side. It has made a dyno-proven 209 bhp on the current engine & the car weighs just 465 kg. The car was built, upgraded, raced & fastidiously maintained by the first owner. The second owner has made the car more road-friendly. It is currently set up for a 6 foot tal, l 70 kg. driver for fast road driving. It is correctly registered on an age related plate. The car is eligible for multiple race categories with just minor updates. It passes all current noise restrictions for track day cars. It will be supplied by us with 12 months MOT included in the price. Now is a good time to get started for this year's season. A car of this specification would cost a lot more to build today.
