A rare opportunity to buy a Honda Race replica (currently a homage to the mighty RC166)
This is a special build using a 1960's CB72/ 77 chassis with a modified GT750 TLS front brake hub and a modified CB77 rear hub with Akront alloy rims and stainless spokes. The currently installed engine is Hondas 4 cylinder MC14 gear driven DOHC, (part of the famous CBR250RR family of bikes). It is fitted with an MC22 ECU and reworked original CV carbs. The Aluminium fuel tank was a one off build for this project. The fairing and tail assembly are fibreglass (not Aluminium). The tyres, chain and sprockets are as new. The six exhausts include 2 dummy pipes for the RC166 look and it sounds fantastic! (very loud), however it would be an easy modification to create an RC162 or RC163 replica.
I purchased this machine ready built from a good friend of mine after he had it set up on a dyno to run cleanly to 20, 000 RPM! The intention was to show/ parade it when possible, however a change of circumstances means that it has only been started and run on a few occasions to keep the fuel fresh etc. Although it's recently had new fully synthetic oil, filter and Irridium spark plugs to keep it running sweetly. The bike is ready to show/ parade or even race and is priced competitively for a quick sale.
This bike is now SOLD Thank you all for your interest.
