I'm selling my 1990 Proton Aeroback, as it's one project too many at the moment.
Was saved from the scrappers and returned to the road in August, requiring a new brake caliper, steering rack gaiters and a little welding.
Currently SORN while I concentrate on other cars, but really needs a new home. Has mismatched panels and poor paint, but is very solid. GLS spec includes a sunroof, but that's about it.
These early Protons are becoming pretty rare now, so this one is worth tidying up and keeping hold of - though let's face it, it's never going to rise in value like a Ferrari.
Engine runs well, all gears work, front brakes are ok but rears could probably do with an overhaul - MOT pass, but not inspiring. Heater is formidable, though temp gauge is stuck on hot - it did have head gasket failure with the previous owner, but now all appears well.
Can collect from Aberystwyth or Caersws train station.
