Description
This is a genuine low mileage example of the ever popular modern classic mr2 roadster, it has covered a genuine 42984 miles from new(may increase slightly being moved to my storage premises). The mileage is fully supported by the service book with entries at 4249, 10380, 14917, 24319, 33513 and 42927. there are also bills and some old mots back to 2008.
It is hpi checked and clear.
The bodywork is in superb order, no paint rectification is required and i see no evidence of any being done either.
Interior is excellent, leather seats and unusually aircon too.
Has spare keys and book pack.
Mot until October 2017 -should be straight forward for a new mot.
Roof is in fine order, you can actually put in back up without getting out of the drivers seat-a design triumph!
Wheels could do with straight forward refurb.
Headlights would benefit from a good t cut .
Engine is perfect.
Apparent fault appears to be the clutch. From reading on the net it appears they have the same clutch as a manual car . Although you can jump in it and drive it at 70 plus mph it seems laboured moving it around slowly, maybe slipping and from time to time. You could use as is i guess but silly really as the problem will have to be sorted one day, i am assuming it will need a new clutch. It really should not be too expensive a job, certainly far less than the car is discounted by as this car is clearly a 3-4k car in perfect order(i sold a 53k one with no leather and aircon for 3495 in the summer and if i could find a local garage with time to do it i would because it makes economical sense so its a chance for somebody to get themselves a cheap car here). In answer to a question i here you asking yes i think you could drive it home, my only concern would be that i am in the fens which is completely flat so not sure how much hill work it would take but i think with due care and attention you should be fine.
i am happy to collect the buyer from the local train station in March or Manea.
