Description
1992 Birkin 7 S3 (not a Caterham but similar)
please note the car is in the UK and I am not prepared to export.
IT IS ON A SORN
This is a Birkin 7 S3 - the Birkin cars are made in South Africa as a replica homage to the Lotus 7 series 3 This car was built there in 1992 and lived most of its life there in warm sunny climates before being shipped over to the UK by the owner at the time when they moved to the UK where it now has an age related UK registration. This car has and was built with the Ford Crossflow 1600 with strong AX block that can be borde out to 1800 cc, twin 40 Webers mated to Type 9 five speed gearbox to live axle, with stainless steel manifold and exhaust. The car has covered 15451 mls . It does have a soft top roof and doors. It has the Birkin bench seats as can be seen crossflow barking through the exhaust running on the twin webers. The chrome suspension which is original really sets the car off. The Birkin S3 was launched in SA by the widow of Colin Chapman and Nigel Mansell. The car is priced realistically to reflect its build quality and going rate for a quality Birkin S3
