A rare opportunity to purchase one of very few Asquith taxis - styled on the early 1930s Austin 'High Lot' London cab. Previously seen in ‘London’s only vintage taxi tour’ it would make a great addition to a wedding car fleet or anywhere a stand out vehicle is required.
It has been maintained and serviced by specialist mechanics and full service history is provided.
The coachwork is finished in blue and red wrapped paintwork with black trim and vinyl roof covering. The taxi currently has Millers Oils wrapped branding throughout.
The cab is finished with a walnut trim and comprises of a leather driver's seat and the standard luggage area of a hackney carriage at the front (ie. no passenger seat). The cab is fully screen partitioned. There is also a switch controlled intercom fitted, as well as switch controls for the electric windows and both the rear heater and interior lights.
The taxi has a cd/ aux player fitted; although the fare meter has been removed the taxi sign can be illuminated via an independent switch. The rear cabin is fitted with five seats - a grey cloth fabric main seat which seats up to three people and two drop down backwards facing seats opposite, all very comfy and plush. There is a passenger intercom switch, interior light switch and heater control switch.
The door panels are grey cloth lined and include the traditional red 'doors locked' lights which illuminate when the vehicle is in motion. The fully carpeted cabin is protected with an additional fitted covering carpet.
The interior roof is fully lined with a grey cloth trim. The rear doors are fitted with electric windows and the running boards fitted with courtesy lights.
