Beschreibung
Built in June 1969 this Snowberry White MGC Roadster was first sold on 2 July 1969. The current owner acquired the car as a relatively rust free example for restoration in 2005 and now this car has been fully restored to Concours condition. With just 15 miles recorded since its completion in December 2017 at a cost of £46, 000.
This car is now almost indistinguishable from new. Summary of works completed are as follows: Body totally stripped to a bare shell with any damaged or questionable metalwork replaced, seam sealed, primed, the underside sprayed with light stone chip and the whole re-painted in its original colour of Snowberry White.
The engine and rare Automatic transmission have been completely rebuilt with new parts as required.
The differential has been stripped and reassembled with a new crown wheel and pinion. The brakes have all new discs, pads, shoes, servo, cylinders and pipes.
The suspension has all new new king pins, torsion bars, rear leaf springs, shock absorbers plus Polybushes and new wheel bearings. Additionally, an EZ electric power steering system was fitted along with totally unobtrusive and concours standard electric windows (both of which can be removed).
The electrical system benefits from a new wiring loom, fuse box gauges etc.
The interior has been completely re-trimmed, with new leather seats covers and new mohair hood. Plus gorgeous knock on Minilite Wheels, again Wires Wheels can be fitted if required.
This is just a snap shot of the major items of work done and much more besides. We have on file a comprehensive statement of works done and photographs of the restoration.
Having driven MGC's in my younger days, I can honestly say this is better than when new. It is much better finished because commercial pressure would have precluded the time needed to build a car to this standard. If you hanker after an MGC Roadster that will win prizes this is, in our view, probably the very best available anywhere and will bring back the trophys!
