Description
MK1 Morris Mini 1965.
Speedo is in km/ h so mileage is approx 60k miles.
850 engine, matching V5 numbers.
Tax, MOT and ULEZ exempt.
It's no show pony - few bubbles here and there on the paint, but looks lovely from a few paces, and gets load of attention. Generally very solid. Just spent £2000 on recommissioning (skimmed/ reconditioned head and converted to unleaded, water pump, suspension, brakes, ball joints, new wheels and tyres etc) No other service history. Original front seats are included (current ones in the pics are waaaay more comfy). Starts first time and runs beautifully.
It was built in UK and exported to SA, and it appears to have undergone restoration at some point in recent years. Imported back to UK last year and is registered 1965 on the UK V5.
I'm not a MK1 expert, so whether it has the 'correct' bolts holding on the door lock or if the rubber grommets in the bulkhead are factory issue I have no idea.
Any inspection welcome.
As with any classic car, you can ask a million questions but you'll only really be able to assess it properly by coming to see it.
Car is based Watford/ Rickmansworth.
