SOLD under written agreement and deposit paid. I will leave her posted until completion in the unlikely event anything goes wrong but should say I think this highly unlikely given the spirit of our comms and speed of deposit payment, and that no other offers will, or can, now be considered. 75PF is a home market RHD Series 1 OTS 3. 8 Jaguar E Type. Fully restored by M&C Wilkinson just a few hundred miles ago. The only reason for sale today is I have been able to purchase something my father owned in 1973 and there are limits to my wife's support!

Purchased as a restoration project I chose M&C because I wanted a car that drove as well as she looked, and on that front they have certainly delivered.

As builders of race winning E Types in Goodwood's Kinrara trophy my request of them was to build 'a Kinrara car for the road' on which they have completely delivered.

In terms of external contractors we used the best possible, the engine Les Trafford built is exceptional, the paint by XK Engineering similar.

In terms of cost I can only confirm you would not do it for the asking price and if you wanted to build similar I would suggest it would be some way above. Purchased as a roadworthy but scruffy car I smoked around in her for two years before we started the two year restoration.

Bodywork - fully rebuilt by M&C Wilkinson with a JLR supplied bonnet and engine frames from Uryk at E Type Fabs.

Paint - not her original colour but I am not a great fan of Golden Sand and think black with a red interior is a pretty spectacular combination. The finish from XK Engineering is equal to any.

Engine - an original 3. 8 E Type engine fully rebuilt by Les Trafford to the standard which his race engines are well known. Chesman did the machine and with the balancing, polishing, porting and cam shafts chosen by Les she is estimated now to be circa 290 bhp, though as a mechanically sensitive soul I had no interest in putting a fresh engine on a dyno to confirm.

Interior - fully retrimmed by Mick Turley, enough said.

Suspension - whilst fundamentally using the E Type architecture the subtle improvements with GAZ shock absorbers, rose jointed suspension links and anti roll bar and spring settings developed over the years by M&C, she handles a whole lot different. As you will see from the images she sits a little lower than a standard car and that no doubt also helps the overall handling.

Wheels/ Tyres - 6" silver painted wheels from MWS with Avon 205 tyres which not only add grip but make the car look hugely more settled on the road.

Steering Wheel - as seen in the images, a new Nardi wheel, just a little less in diameter than the standard but substantially more strong to hold.

Cooling - aluminium radiator supplied by Fosseway Performance with the exact appearance of the original item, but substantially enhanced performance.

Brakes - uprated at front and rear with items from Fosseway Performance again. The ventilated and drilled front discs allied to the six pot callipers means she stops like no standard E Type ever did, and in fact better than any race E Type.
