Motors Corner presents this 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso for sale: This magnificent Ferrari 250 GT coupé Lusso was produced in 1963, the 30th example to roll off the Maranello production lines, and is chassis 4417, engine 4417, matching numbers chassis, engine and rear axle. The Lusso, the luxury version of the 250 GT, was traditionally designed by Pininfarina and bodied by Scaglietti.
Only 351 examples left the Maranello factory. The car is currently Red with Black interior, but it left the factory in a very desirable Gold body colour with a black interior. It has remained in Italy all its life, and in the hands of a great Ferrari collector for 55 years. It won a Concours d'Elegance in Italy in 2018 Concerning the mechanics: The V12 starts at a quarter of a turn, the 3 Webers carburettors are perfectly tuned. The idle is stable and the engine revs well. The drive is pleasant, there is no rolling noise to report, the gears shift very well and the maintenance is up to date. The roadworthiness test is up to date and reveals nothing abnormal about the car. The exterior: The bodywork is in good condition, the 20-year-old paintwork has a few defects, the chrome is in very good condition, the Borrani Ruote rims are in good general condition, but show traces of wear on the edges. The spare wheel is present in the boot. Interior: The original interior is relatively well preserved, the upholstery is in good condition with a slight patina, the carpets are well preserved and the dashboard shows no signs of wear. The door panels are in good condition. The Nardi wood and aluminium steering wheel is in very good condition.
