Beschreibung
A very rare example of a matching numbers, exceptionally low mileage 1968 Riley Kestrel 1300 Mk11, the high specification Issigonis designed "supermini" with the high performance A series 1275cc engine with twin SU carburetters, similar to that fitted to the Cooper S Mini.
The vehicles current recorded mileage of 31, 196 miles is verified by it's full ownership history and other documentation available.
The car has a BMIHT Certificate of Manufacture for 21/ 5/ 68 meaning that it is one of the last of this model before the Kestrel name was dropped by BMC. It was supplied to a BMC Main Dealer Dobbs Ltd of Southampton prior to its sale to a Mrs Richardson of Bitterne.
The car had completed 29, 358 miles by 1986 before going into long term storage in Southampton from which it emerged in 2017.
Since that time it has been subject to an extensive "rolling restoration" to bring it up to the excellent current condition that is evident in the many photographs provided. It has an MoT valid until March 2025 with no advisories. It is ULEZ, Road Tax and MoT exempt.
It's an attractive car finished in Snowberry White and Sandy Beige with immaculate matching upholstery. The underside has no corrosion and is finished with Hammerite and Waxoyl in order to secure its future long term life.
The car drives beautifully and everything works exactly as it should.
Any inspection is welcomed, delivery is possible and sensible offers will be considered. A rare example of a ULEZ, Tax and MoT exempt time warp luxury small car from the 1960's
