In 1982, Ford Europe presented what the car of the future would look like for the old continent. A wedge-shaped, futuristic design with bumper-integrated bodywork, aerodynamic hubcaps, and so on. However, it inherited the classic mechanical concept from its predecessor, the Taunus and Cortina, with a longitudinally mounted all-iron engine and rear-wheel drive.
