Brought in the south of England towards the end of last year but sadly not being used enough to justify anymore. The previous owner was elderly and never used the vehicle off road. This was his pride and joy after owning several over the years. Upon buying the Pajero the selectable 4wd / 2wd was all tested out which all works perfectly and proved useful in the snow in the winter just past.
The Pajero is a solid example, it took a while to find one like this, the underside did receive some welding at the most recent MOT, but I believe this was the first welding it had and is now good on that front for years to come. Mechanics have commented on just how good an example this is. There are also no dings or dents outside and the engine bays clean and genuine.
Has 7 seats, smooth changing auto gearbox, tow bar (used for a small garden waste trailer I was sold) and the long sunroof. Upgraded stereo with aux fitted at some point and wind deflectors x4. Original took kit in boot area.
During my ownership the Pajero has had £1500 spent to get running tip top.
Within the past I’d say 200-300 km at most it’s received:
Oil and filter change
Gearbox oil replaced
Diff oils topped up
Glow plugs renewed
Aux belts replaced
Work done on the turbo
New crank position sensor
If you are after one of these old school Pajero’s this must be one of the best ones left (many have fallen into uncaring hands), or even if you are just after a dependable and go anywhere 4wd this is well worth a look. This is the 2. 8 diesel auto in LWB form so the one to go for. Big folder of history. Early history from Japan, various bills and MOTs, new fuel pump in recent years (with invoice, £1000).
