The Appeal
Porsche was on a winning streak in 1964. The 911 had just come out, and it made a major impact at Le Mans with the introduction of the 904 Carrera GTS. But there remained another arm to Porsche's output - agriculture.
The Porsche-Diesel 219 Standard is one of the most recognisable and collectable vintage tractors in the world, bearing the illustrious Porsche name and embodying the same engineering philosophy of simplicity, reliability and purposeful design. Produced in limited numbers during the late 1950s and into the 1960s, these air-cooled diesel workhorses have become increasingly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of both agricultural machinery and the wider Porsche marque.
