Capots Vintage, a specialist in prestige and classic vehicles in Lyon, offers for sale a marvellous British Jaguar coupé: an XK150. Our model is an XK150 SE (Special Equipment) 4-seater coupé, in 3. 4 L version developing 220 hp, fully restored between 2010 and 2011. As shown in the restoration photo file, the bodywork was stripped bare, sandblasted, primed and repainted in its original Pacific Blue colour. Ten years on, the result is still impeccable, testifying to the high quality of the work carried out. The upholstery has also been completely redone: the Connolly leather seats, headlining, dashboard, carpets, door panels and all the trim have been restored to their original configuration, in a beige colour that blends perfectly with the navy blue exterior. On the mechanical side, the engine and carburettors have been completely rebuilt. Still equipped with its Borg Warner automatic gearbox, as when it left the factory on 26 November 1957, it works very well. For greater comfort, improvements such as electronic ignition and an alternator have been added, as well as a large 4-piston front brake kit.
