Rare MG Y (A) from 1948 in impeccable condition.
Vehicle in the hands of the current owner for around 30 years, having been acquired in Portugal from a collector.
It underwent a complete restoration around 20 years ago, with major changes to the engine, suspension and paintwork, and has remained immaculately maintained and very well preserved to this day.
Practically used in classic vehicle events, having a constant presence and many stories to tell. It is recognized as a vehicle of historical interest, by a Portuguese entity recognized by F. I. V. A. This M. G. model Y was produced between 1947 and 1953 and has a 1, 250 cc 46 hp petrol engine. This version has some features that make this model more exclusive than some of its direct competitors of the time, such as an all-leather interior, with a wooden dashboard and very peculiar octagonal-shaped pressure gauges, a sunroof, turn signals, a spare tire in its own compartment, external and under the luggage compartment, opening front window, a foot-operated low and high gear key, built-in lever-operated jacks on the engine's oil pump, supplementary fog lights, and an advanced pedal system for the time, providing greater comfort and safety to the user. All equipment perfectly functional and in good condition. Vehicle with new tires and battery.
