Description
My blue NB we've had since 2022.
Used extensively for trackdays and EU expedition.
Bought standard as a non runner with a ruined ECU. Replaced with standard computer along with new ignition barrel and all door locks.
Shell is in decent condition with various repairs to common areas. Front chassis legs are in really good condition, and have never needed work.
Roof is near perfect with the one small pinhole (pictured) being the only imperfection.
TR Lane 4 point roll hoop with diagonal reinforcement.
Arb d bushes in poly. New drop links all round last year.
Speeding rods 32click dampers, these gave the lower centre of gravity needed, however my experience with them after 2 years they have a little more roll in the corner than a typical meister R package. For the road they have been excellent however.
Non abs model brakes, all calipers replaced, front are 1 year old with new discs at the time, and the rears are brand new.
Handbrake cables replaced 6 months ago.
Brakes painted in porsche acidgrün and lacquered.
EBC red ceramic pads up front.
Bp4w Engine was rebuilt at 154k
99 have the best flowing head, Cleaned, Head skimmed, valves lapped, new stem seals.
Bottom end received attention too.
Rods and pistons taken from a earlier model BPT with slightly lower compression ratio.
Crank is stock mx5 big snout.
All New shells and thrust washers from ACL Australia, race series for BPT.
New piston rings.
Standard head gasket.
Early bpt conrod cradle reinforcement, this is missing on all later BP engines with just a thin baffle.
Standard intake and injection. Coil packs new last year.
New timing belt and water pump.
Polished rocker cover and plug lead cover.
New crank sensor.
New radiator.
Exhaust headers are standard tubular.
Downpipe is stainless steel, stainless decat, and all the way to the single rear exit stainless back box.
All sensible sounds. Nothing leary.
Torsen 2 diff, the best one. The rare one.
Black gloss 15inch wheels and rain sports at the rear, bit worn now though. Fresh Yokohama ecodrives up front. A surprisingly brilliant responsive all weather tyre.
New interior cubby lid, and a Bluetooth head unit.
Mot till sept, currently sorn. Cash on collection
I think that's everything.
The bodywork isn't amazing, blebs here and there and some grazes from the floppies on track. The tubs are solid, it's just the floor that always wants attention.
Thanks for looking. She's been a good car, and vicious on track. Can't get anymore speed out of her without turbocharging which was the purpose of doing the engine work. Eats everything up in the corner.. wet or dry.
Other car projects and emigrating is forcing her sale now. She's still got alot of miles remaining in her yet. Would like her to go to somebody who can enjoy it and take care of her ideally.
