Description
This MGB LE model was manufactured in July 1979 for export to the USA and reimported to the UK in 1995 (with a recorded mileage of 16, 744) when it was re-registered to a “T” number plate and converted to right hand drive.
There are MoT certificates from 1995 which back up the mileage displayed and whilst this has Historic status exempt from MoT’s it has a current MoT Certificate that is due to expire 11/ 09/ 2025. There is a Heritage Certificate confirming date of production.
There is a wealth of paperwork covering the history of all maintenance performed by previous owners with the last major service carried out by specialist, AJF Motor Engineers, in Sept. 2024. This included brakes overhaul, new master brake cylinder and servo fitted, engine oil and brake fluid changes, gearbox and rear diff fluid levels, new rear universal joint on prop shaft, new rear suspension rebound strips, new D bushes on rear anti roll bar and the twin carbs balance.
The overdrive operates smoothly and the engine has good oil pressure, all in all it runs like a dream!
A new vinyl hood has been fitted and all 4 tyres have just been replaced with new Yokohama 185/ 70R14 88H Radials.
In early 2018 the car was given a complete respray in pewter metallic silver at a cost of almost £4, 000 and still looks extremely good today. The underside of the car is structural sound and the chassis is substantially rust-free.
The interior is in good shape and presents well being fitted with executive black leather seats, a Motolita steering wheel and radio / CD player.
