Description
1954 MG Magnette - rare, early non-quarter light model. Car number 72 of the first 250 non-quarter lights. Lovely car and very original interior. Bought and owned by the same family up until 2010. I purchased the MG in 2012 and my Dad, an ex-mechanical engineer, recommissioned the Magnette with myself, in his retirement.
I was fortunate enough to meet the wife of the original owner and she told me that the mileage was correct, that the car came off the road in the early 70s and was kept in their garage until 2010.
There is some nice history from the original family owners to accompany the car and also a genuine Magnette roof rack, if wanted, and some other spare parts.
The car itself is in lovely condition. The red leather interior is also very nice. The carpets are original, but showing some signs of age.
The MG has not had much use over the last few years, but drives superb.
The pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago and show exactly how the car is, so please study carefully, including the underside, which is just as nice as the top side.
Everything is pretty much up together on the car, but Dad never got around to putting the hockey sticks on the front wings, they are with the car but need rechroming.
There are plenty of Magnettes for sale, but very few, if any, early cars like this come to market.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
