86" wheelbase soft top, 2. 0l diesel engine (Dudley conversion using Montego/ LDV normally aspirated engine. Soft top and hoops set fitted new 3 yrs ago along with new Exmoor trim front and rear seats.
Bulkhead in good order, chassis was obviously repaired with replacement sections, rear x- member, out riggers, etc during its earlier restoration but done to a good standard.
7. 50 x 16 security ML814 tyres.
Fitted with overdrive and freewheel hubs for better economy. Early restoration some years ago from truck cab to station wagon then by us 3 yrs ago to soft top.
Front axle rebuilt with new swivels, bearings etc, recent new shocks. New cambelt fitted recently for piece of mind and all filters, oils etc replaced recently.
Exmoor trim door cards, door top stowage bag.
Various spare engine parts included in sale, ie crankshaft, cylinder head, fuel and water pump.
Selling due to lack of use. Vehicle started of life as a Green truck cab with the Cumberland River Board, then it was painted red and at sometime ended up with Garage having had a recovery crane fitted, (holes still apparent in rear floor), and at sometime it underwent the restoration and also converted to a hardtop station wagon. We purchased it from a seller in the New forest who had used it and 'tinkered' with it occasionally, but we preferred the look and flexibility of the soft top.
Being fitted with the diesel engine and overdrive makes the vehicle economical as well as maintaining a comfortable road speed.
This vehicle really is a true classic especially with the canvas top and gets admiring looks whenever we take it out.
