Description
1983 Triumph Tiger 750 TR7T, one of 180 produced before Meridan closed. Not in the style of the Tiger Trail, probably used available Triumph parts before the shut down as this was frame number 179 so looks more like the Bonneville of the time with more chromed parts than the plastic on the Trails.
Excellent condition and regularly maintained though not ridden much, hence low mileage.
Full history of work done on it since my acquisition in 2005 with the last service done last month. Previous owner (from 2000) is on hand to give further historic details.
In full working order and excellent condition, taxed as an Historic Vehicle so no tax or MOT necessary. Not customised but a unique Tiger Trail due to it being one of Meriden's last motorcycles to be produced at the factory before it's closure in 1983 - you won't see another like this on the road. Some history on the origins of the bike have recently been unearthed by a viewer of this site ;
"30179 was built 20/ 5/ 81 and despatched to Sports M/ Cycles in Manchester. There were only 162 Tiger Trails built, nearly all of them built between May and December 81. There were then 7 built in March 82 for the Royal Military Display Team and then only 2 more bikes sold to the public."
Thanks to Mossy for that.
