I am reluctantly selling my Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV. It is a genuinely brilliant driver’s car, with a small number of well chosen upgrades that, in my view, make it one of the most enjoyable B-road cars you can buy. The induction noise from the carburettors, the balance of the chassis and the way it flows down a road make it a real pleasure to drive.
Despite the usual Alfa reputation, it’s never let me down. A recent trip around North Wales saw it cover over 300 miles in a weekend without missing a beat. It is the sort of car where slow speeds still feel fast, making it perfectly suited to UK roads without worrying about your licence.
I bought the car in 2021 and have maintained it properly, including annual oil changes with Millers Classic regardless of mileage. It is being sold only because I am moving abroad. I considered storing it, but it feels like the wrong car to leave sitting in a garage.
This is a ready-to-go fast road GTV. Arguably one of the most beautiful coupes ever built, lightly improved where it matters to make it work well in modern driving conditions. Original parts have all been kept should the new owner prefer the original feel of the car.
The car is tax and MOT exempt, but is professionally inspected annually. It was first imported to the UK in 2016 where it was fully recommissioned, and has full service history since. I have a Dropbox folder full of photos and service history that I’m happy to share.
Engine and Induction
• Original 2. 0-litre Alfa Romeo Nord twin-cam.
• Twin carburettor setup, professionally rolling road tuned by Saxon Motorsport in 2022 with a result of 122 bhp.
• Starts easily, idles cleanly and pulls strongly through the rev range.
• Oil changed annually with Millers Classic regardless of mileage.
Fuel System Upgrades (2025)
• Facet Red Top electric fuel pump
• Filter King regulator with pressure gauge
• Single offset performance air filter
• Mechanical fuel pump blanking plate and gasket
Suspension, Differential and Geometry upgrades (2022)
• Koni adjustable shock absorbers front and rear
• Eibach spring kit front and rear
• Suspension stripped, corrected and rebuilt properly, including bump stop issues from previous installation
• Full geometry and alignment setup on completion
• Rear axle removed and fully stripped
• Gripper Limited Slip Differential installed
• New diff carrier bearings
• New wheel bearing
• Reassembled with correct clearances
• Filled with Morris 80/ 140 LSD oil
The original differential is retained and included in the sale.
Brakes and Exhaust (2023)
• Calipers fully stripped due to seized pistons

• Rebuilt with new seals
