For health reasons, I’m compelled to abandon the final rebuild currently underway on my Vespa 400.
This vehicle was purchased in perfect running order in 1990 and I was able to use it for about fifteen years without any problems.
After retiring, I decided to overhaul it completely and modernise it:
The mechanical package (engine, gearbox, clutch) has been serviced and modernised by fitting electronic ignition and an electronic voltage regulator.
Overhaul of the entire braking system with DOT 5 silicone fluid
Improved signalling (side lights and rear lights)
Fitting of a new hood
New rubber floor mats
New windscreen with its seal
Today, the front and rear suspension/ axles are reassembled, as well as the gearbox. Mechanically, the engine still needs to be re-fitted to the frame after replacement of the SPI seals. Then, the windscreen and all openings will need to be refitted. A polish and you’ll have a virtually new scooter!
A set of spare parts is also included, including many new items. Paperwork and tools are also included.
